Spirits Of The Past – Historical Tours:  Half Day Tour R525.00.  Depart either at 09:00 or 15:00 to Signal Hill outside Grahamstown. Local historian and raconteur Alan Weyer offers an in-depth overview of the regions proud history of spectacular battles and courageous people that will add a new dimension to a visit to the Eastern Cape.  Full Day Tour R850.00. Depart 09:00 and spend the day with Alan Weyer in Frontier Country visiting forts, recounting the lives of these pioneers.

Township Tour: Join Mboleli Mpokela and experience township life with real people in real life.  Bring your own itinerary, visit a home, and enjoy a traditional Xhosa meal (for meal book at least one day in advance).  Places of interest include Egazini monument, Egazini Outreach Project, Umthathi Nursery, four townships. 2-3 hours. Price on request.

From Frontier Post to Festival City : once the Cape’s second city, you’ll discover Grahamstown’s rich historical and architectural heritage and its prominence today as an important educational and cultural centre. Tour includes The Observatory Museum and its famous Camera Obscura. City only 2 hours. City & township 3- 4 hours.

Egazini Tour : Relive the 1819 Battle of Grahamstown with a Xhosa guide, stand where the prophet Makana stood urging his 10,000 warriors into battle against the British, learn of his imprisonment on Robben Island, visit the Egazini (Field of Blood) memorial to peace and reconciliation and explore the rugged landscape of this decisive struggle for the rich lands of the old Zuurveld. Tour includes the Egazini Art Centre with opportunity to talk with the artists and buy their art. (2-3 hours: must be pre-booked, price on application)

Township Tour : Get a feel for life today in the township plus a fascinating insight into Xhosa culture and customs. Discover the connection between the Mfengu and Queen Victoria. Includes visit to Egazini memorial. Buy locally made beadwork and crafts. 1-2 hours.

Game Viewing Tours : Times of tours vary according to the season.

Greater Addo National Park (self-drive to/from Addo, N2/R342 via Paterson, 1 hour 15 min / 100 km): Entrance Fee: R20.00 SA nationals, R40.00 SADC nationals,  R80.00 all other nationals.  Guided game drives: R160.00 at 6.00am, 9.00am, 12.00 pm and 3.00 pm. Sundowner Game Drive with snacks and drinks R240.00 at 6.00pm, Night drive with refreshments R180.00 at 8.00pm. Kariega Park Game Reserve (self-drive to/from Reserve, N2/R343, 45 min / 50 km): Day Tour departs 10.00 am till 3.00 pm, includes two game drives, lunch and refreshments. R800.00 from 1/10/06, children 6-12 years 50% discount, less than 6 years not allowed.

Pumba Private Game Reserve (N2 40 min/45km): Day Tour departs 7.00am, Night Tour departs 3.00pm. Both include game drive, meal and refreshments. R650.00

Thomas Baines Nature Reserve (self-drive N2/R343 15min /15 km) R10.00 p/vehicle, R2.50pp: Incorporating Settlers Dam, this small and scenic reserve contains rhino, buffalo, zebra, eland, impala, red hartebeest and bushbuck.
